An evening devoted to French chanson, a warm and unhurried talk about beauty led by storyteller Mikhail Ovsishcher.

For a few hours, guests found themselves somewhere in Paris, listening to the greats: Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, Jacques Brel. Each with their own voice, their own story, their own love, and, of course, usually a slightly unhappy one. What is real chanson, after all, without a broken heart? In each song, an entire life unfolds in the space of a few minutes.
What made it special was hearing the lyrics translated into Russian. In this genre the words are everything, and without them the heart of the song slips away. Live music, the stories behind each song, and an attentive, passionate storyteller turned the evening into a genuine journey.
Guests of three generations gathered together to listen, to feel, and to lose themselves in the beauty of the genre. Many left with a single wish: to hear these songs again.
